Win Tickets To Bass Culture At The Roundhouse

Part of the Roundhouse Rising gig series

Arriving from the shores of Jamaica in the 1950’s, Reggae music has since evolved into numerous sub genres and ‘scenes’, many of which have defined sub culture in the UK. This ubiquitous influence has given us Jungle, Drum n Bass, Garage, Grime and Dubstep and helped shape the UK as an incubator of raw and forward thinking music whose underground beginnings have spawned artists who have gone on to achieve chart and international success.

This ever-evolving mixing pot of cultures and styles can be loosely termed as Bass Culture, a sonic identity for a beast that never lies down and can never be stereotyped nor tamed. It is raw and unrivalled.

Bass Culture returns to Roundhouse: Rising once more, an ongoing music project exploring reggae and its influence around the world. Expect radical reinterpretations of contemporary urban music with RoxXxan, RTKAL and RasItes performing.

Roundhouse Rising is a 10 day festival of up and coming musical talent held at the Roundhouse between 14th – 24th February 2013. Clash is proud to be the official media partner of the festival and have a pair of tickets to give away for Bass Culture.
