Win a BOSE SoundDock, headphones and albums
With the Barclaycard Mercury Prize
This Competition is Closed
The Barclaycard Mercury Prize winner is to be announced on the 8th September, catapulting the winner firmly into the public eye (or further into the public eye), bolstering their bank balance and, most importantly, giving an enormous fillip to their CV. Only one artist can claim this coveted trophy every year.
That said, a nomination is itself quite a feat, and can help raise the profile of music that may previously have struggled to gain column inches. Of this year’s twelve-strong list, the likes of The Invisible, Sweet Billy Pilgrim, Lisa Hannigan and Speech Debelle have enjoyed a deserved nudge into the spotlight, while the presence of the latter two plus Florence, La Roux and Bat For Lashes sparked much talk about a female renaissance in the modern music business.
The Barclaycard Mercury Prize has hooked up with audio specialists BOSE® to offer one lucky Clash reader a nifty prize package too: the award winning BOSE® SoundDock™ Portable Digital Music System, which is designed to deliver a new standard of audio performance for iPod®, and some BOSE® in-ear headphones, delivering high-quality audio and a comfortable and stable fit so you don’t have to sacrifice quality when you’re on the move. Want some new music to test them out with, too? How about the twelve short-listed albums?
