There's a dark side to Wild Nothing which isn't often remarked upon.
Sure, the American group have a lush, dreamy side - but alongside freedom from your worries, sleep can also bring with it a lack of control. At times - in particular on second record 'Nocturne' - Wild Nothing indulge in darker emotions, describing introversion, paranoia and more.
Feelings which director Ryan Reichenfeld explores in a new clip. Taken from the album, 'Only Heather' displays both sides of Wild Nothing's character - the blissful yearning is present and correct, but there's also a fear that the past cannot be re-captured.
Visually, the film maker interprets this in a quite stunning fashion. Filmed in Los Angeles across the space of a single day, 'Only Heather' is a macabre - at times darkly surreal - vision.
Watch it now.
