This year's Winter Olympics have been beset by controversy.
Held in the Russian city of Sochi, the games follow in the wake of anti-homosexual legislation in the country, which has arguably fuelled hate crimes against the nation's LGBT community.
Noting this, Villagers has decided to pen a song in their honour. Conor O'Brien has drafted one of his most driven, powerful statements yet, one which matches astute songwriting to clipped, electronic influenced production from James Ford.
Here's a note from O'Brien: "In the advent of the 2014 Olympics in Sochi, please find attached a song written for you, your mother, your father and your gay brothers and sisters in Russia."
