Video Exclusive: Metronomy In Conversation With Clash

Joseph Mount on the making of ‘Love Letters’

Issue 93 of Clash magazine – out now, you know – is led by a cover feature with Metronomy, whose new, fourth album ‘Love Letters’ finds the Joe Mount-fronted foursome exploring new sounds: indebted to some distinctively 1960s influences but very much focused on the future of this singular strain of quintessentially British pop.

The album – reviewed here – was recorded at Toe Rag Studios in London, and it’s here that Clash caught up with Mount on camera for a very special video, which we’re pleased to show here. Look, there it is, just up there.

The video features a one-on-one with Mount, exploring the themes and background to several of the songs on ‘Love Letters’, as well as live performances from the band. This is revealing stuff, and it’s exclusive to Clash – which basically means you’re in the right place. Well done, you.

If you like what you see and want to read more about the band, head over to our online shop to buy issue 93 of Clash magazine. The first 30 customers will also receive a free copy of ‘Love Letters’ in its deluxe CD format. Trust us, it’s pretty. So, off you click, then.
