Part of the UNDER THE CVRS series...
Twin Shadow

"If a double decker bus crashes into us to die by your side is such a heavenly way to die..."

As indie anthems go, few get more poetic, more obviously moving than 'There Is A Light That Never Goes Out' by The Smiths.

Perhaps the highpoint of 'The Queen Is Dead' it retains its status as one of the group's most beatified moments almost thirty years after its inception.

Twin Shadow is hosting his UNDER THE CVRS series, tackling songs which have a personal meaning to him. Applying some glacial electronics to The Smiths' classic, the American artist has uploaded a new version of 'There Is A Light Which Never Goes Out'.

Slow, meditative and respectful to the original, the track features Samantha Urbani and is backed by visuals which take the songs lyrics literally.

Watch out for that double decker bus...
