The Weeks – Brother In The Night

Southern rock 'n' roll...

Nashville is changing.

Renowned as The Music City, the area is more closely associated with country. However the past 18 months have witnessed a slew of new groups emerge from the city, with the likes of Jack White and The Black Keys even going as far as to up sticks and move to Nashville permanently.

The Weeks are part of this new movement. Signed to rising label Serpents & Snakes, the band will release their debut album 'Dear Bo Jackson' on June 17th. Steeped in a Southern rock tradition, the band have a classic sensibility running through their music.

However don't go expecting some tame re-tread of former glories – this is visceral stuff, with The Weeks' no holds barred live show containing plenty of blood, swear and tears. Just ask the ClashMusic team, who got up close and personal with the band at this year's SXSW.

New video 'Brother In The Night' has literally just hit the web. About as refreshing as a cool glass of water in the Tennessee sunshine, you can watch it below.
