The Strypes – Blue Collar Jane

Fresh faced retro types...

A funny thing has happened to rock groups – they've all gotten older.

When Bob Dylan was 27 years old he's revolutionised the pop song countless times, inspiring entire genres with cast off ideas. By the time Noel Gallagher reached his 27th birthday the songwriter was gearing up to release his debut album.

So it should come as no surprise to learn that The Strypes are remarkably fresh faced. Irish rhythm and blues revivalists, the band are so on point with every other aspect – music, clothes… amps, even – that it would be remiss of them to look a day past eighteen..

New video 'Blue Collar Jane' is a case in point. Drawn from their recent EP, the track is all rattle 'n' crash R&B, taking its cue from (early) Rolling Stones, The Kinks and The Pretty Things. Waltzing around in their shades-indoors style cool, The Strypes give off the air of four lads too young to know any better.

Watch it now.
