Yep, covering Metronomy...
The Melodic

An instant classic?

Almost. The sign of a great song is the amount of cover versions it inspires, and with this in mind Metronomy must be well on their way.

Stepping into the breach, The Melodic have supplied a cute, twee-in-a-good-way rendition of 'Love Letters'. The title cut of Joe Mount & Co.'s new album, the song is given a lilting, country feel but the heart, the essence of the original is retained.

In a way, it's to be expected. The Melodic shipped out to America a few years back, before returning to Brixton where they began busking on streets, in subways - wherever they could find.

Working up their own distinct style, the band are now working with Anti set to release debut album 'Effra Parade' on March 17th.

Watch it now.
