Fast rising Icelandic newcomers...

Everywhere it seems the 80s are making a revival and music is one not to be shy of it. With swirling synths and pulsating bass, Sykur, the Icelandic electronica band unveils the video for their new track ‘Messy Hair’.

The quartet consists of Agnes, Halldór, Stefán and Kristján, where Sykur (translation: Sugar) joined together in 2009 and quickly established a reputation for packing out parties. A year later, the band already play a pivotal role in the Reykjavik scene and have collaborated with the hottest local talent, and sharing stages with international acts such as Peaches, Mt. Eden and Casiokids alike.

If you're lucky enough to be in Iceland, make sure you catch Sykur's electrifying live performance - it's always an insanely memorable event. Adding to Sykur’s plethora of party anthems is ‘Messy Hair’ with its welcoming disco-bop. Joyous dancing and hair shaking scenes are a tap away from Wham. But fear not, Sykur show you it’s okay to dance with a cucumber or a baby xylophone.

Anything goes, but just dance!
