Swim Deep reveal the video for ‘She Changes the Weather’ today.
Powering from the ‘B-town’ (Birmingham) music scene, the quartet’s simple surf hooks have garnered a well-rounded collection of fans from around the UK, separating themselves with their grunge-look and sunny songs.
The video begins with underwater mermaid-like scenes and foretells a self-deprecating story of a complex relationship. The slow strums lead into a piano-led build up guiding through flash backs and twisted thoughts.
It tells a lonely story that leads the couple together wading helplessly underwater. Shot in NYC after the band’s SXSW performances and directed by Georgia Hudson (2:45, Jack Beats, Still Corners), the video is full of beautiful derelict scenery and emotional climbs.
The new single is released on May 12th on Chess Club / RCA Victor, taken from the band’s debut record ‘Where The Heaven Are We’ out 29th July.
