Savages – Husbands

Directed by John Minton

Savages aren't built for mainstream success.

The four piece rarely tour extensively, choosing instead to play one off, show piece concerts tailored to their own expectations.

Yet when the shortlist of the Barclaycard Mercury Prize was announced, there they were. Nominated alongside Rudimental and Jake Bugg, Savages took pride of place in what is often viewed as one of the most important music awards in the land.

Signalling plans for a November tour, the band will play their largest London show to date. Taking place at the 2300 capacity Forum venue on November 6th, the news comes accompanied with a new video.

'Husbands' appeared on Savages' first – self-released – single, and takes pride of place on the band's studio album. Shot in black and white, the video for the track cuts jarring studio footage with that of a maggot.

Unsettling, arresting and impossible not to watch.
