Their comeback single...
Primal Scream

Primal Scream are a band who struggle to escape past glories.

After all, there's is a career which contains the rave evangelism of 'Screamadelica' and a paranoid, drugged out skronk of 'XTRMNTR'. Along the way, Primal Scream have touched upon elegiac country, indie pop and all out rock 'n' roll leaving no (Rolling) stone unturned.

But the band's new album feels different. Returning revitalised, empowered, Primal Scream's upcoming LP 'More Light' feels like their most confident, experimental work in a decade.

New single 'It's Alright, It's OK' is a case in point. A Faces inspired booty shaker, the track rattles along with a loose limbed abandon before stopping off at church for a gospel shakedown.

The video for the track mixes footage of the band in the studio with scenes from the street. Featuring Bobby Gillespie in prime pouting form, 'It's Alright, It's OK' is the sound of a group who are able to look their legacy straight in the eye.

Watch it now.
