Hardcore punk meets spoken word, you say?
Well, it seems to work. warrenpeace are a two piece who specialise in frenetic, frenzied guitar music laced with electronics and oodles of sarcasm.
New cut 'FRNKLYSTVN' is essentially split into two parts. The opening segment features spoken word artist Scroobius Pip musing on the nature of love, on how humanity attempts to define the undefinable.
Comparing love to the tooth fairy, it's a whimsical, humorous monologue with a sting in its tale: just how do men express their feelings?
At which point the track flips back on itself. The camera pans down to a dank rehearsal room, with warrenpeace kicking out some serious jams.
An unhinged rant against Morrissey - "Steven, what different do you make?" - it somehow matches Scroobius Pip's piece perfectly. Check out the video below.
'FRNKLYSTVN' will be released on August 25th via Speech Development.
