Premiere: Toy Mountains – ‘Old Friends’

Taken from new EP 'I Swore I’d Never Speak of This Again'

Glasgow's fetid underground could be set to spawn yet another gem.

Toy Mountains are a four-piece who aim to make music without restriction, absorbing influences and themes as they see fit.

Pitched as somewhere between Deftones and Glassjaw, Reuben and Blakish, the band mesh snappy math-rock percussive ticks to some enthralling lyricism.

Operating in a state of flux, new EP 'I Swore I’d Never Speak Of This Again' drops on November 25th (pre-order LINK), and it's "ultimately a culmination of where we all are in our lives – and all the triumphs and anxieties that accompany that. It details our experiences as twenty-somethings attempting to chase and a build a career in something we are all passionate about, whilst simultaneously being uncertain about the future. All of the songs on the record pull in the same direction, rather than being many different parts that are unnaturally forced together."

Clash is able to premiere new cut 'Old Friends', a taut, snappy, and visceral piece of molten creativity that comes equipped with some freshly shot visuals.
