Premiere: The RPMs – ‘I Don’t Like It’

Brattish garage punk from the south coast...

At times it can seem like nobody these days has an opinion – the world simply glides by in a social network feed, prompting only the odd like or re-tweet.

So to stand up and say 'I Don't Like It' as loud as you can is one sure way to make a noise.

The new track from Brighton garage punk outfit The RPMs, it's a brattish salute to refusal, to the gentle art of making up your own damn mind.

The band will release new EP 'Digital Disobedience' on June 24th through Xtra Mile, but Clash is able to offer up a new preview.

The video for 'I Don't Like It' is shot in London, and it's a stylish introduction to the youthful three-piece.

The RPMs explain: "In this video we wanted to get across the songs message that if there's something out in the world you don't think is right then you should feel that you have the power to go and do something about it. We thought we'd do that by staging our own mini protests all over London encouraging the people to join in our collective dislike for things in general… and with our handy slogan of 'I Don't Like it' you can protest at everything at once!"

Tune in now.

The RPMs have confirmed the following shows:

June
4 London Camden Rocks – Hawley Arms

July
2 Brighton Hope & Ruin (This Feeling/RadioX)
9 2000 Trees
