Shot on a shoestring budget...
Spring Offensive

Times are tough.

Sure, George Osbourne might be able to lay out some pretty statistics, maybe even the odd positive percentage or two - but everyone is feeling the pinch.

Spring Offensive don't have label support, meaning that everything the band does is on a shoestring budget. Thankfully, the band's songwriting - strong, heartfelt and outlined in black - is assured enough for them to move past this.

Using PledgeMusic to raise funds, debut album 'Young Animal Hearts' will be released early next year. Ahead of this, Spring Offensive are ready to unveil the video for new track 'The River'.

"These videos are always done on a shoestring" the band explain, "and nearly everything we used in The River was sourced or made by us. We have an extended Spring Offensive family though who always come together for these projects, and this time it was a fan through Twitter that very kindly offered us her car."

Filmed and edited by Sam King, the clip mirrors the darkness inherent in the track itself. Shot in black and white, it's stark, striking yet beguilingly beautiful.
