Fast-rising Nottingham newcomer...

Nottingham doesn't boast a prominent musical pedigree.

Sure, the city has always had a thriving, close knit music scene, but recently a series of exports - Jake Bugg, Dog Is Dead - have put Nottingham firmly on the map.

Saint Raymond could well join them. Real name Callum Burrows, the songwriter is a mere 18 years old yet his fluorescent, day-glo productions have already built a rabid cult following.

Signing to National Anthem, new single 'Young Blood' is a passionately ambitious introduction. Sure, the songwriting is mature but the arrangement - all quick-fire synths, electric beats and searing vocals - is packed with the sort of E-number energy only youth can inspire.

For the video, Saint Raymond has paired up with director Clemens Habicht. Speaking about the shoot, Burrows said: "It was an honour to have Clemens Habicht direct this video as I am a big fan of his work. He has shot the videos of some of my favourite bands including Bloc Party and Friendly Fires. I wanted the video to have a natural, gritty vibe, so Clemens filmed an Australian thrash metal band in a documentary style to try and capture this and to reflect the raw energy of the song."

Premiering on Clash, you can watch the video for 'Young Blood' below.
