Premiere: Plastic Mermaids – ‘Dromtorp’

Shot on the Isle of Wight...

The Isle of Wight is, essentially, its own world.

Detached from the mainland, it’s a space where minds can wander, where invention can potter around, without distraction.

Plastic Mermaids hail from the island. The band’s music – wistful, psychedelic, short through with a beautiful gauze – was gathered on their debut EP ‘Dromtorp’.

Out now via Cross Keys Records, the band have shot their own accompanying visuals. The clip for title cut ‘Dromtorp’ is a lovely, lilting affair, all natural lighting and distorted camera effects.

As pure and innocent as their music, you can check out the video for ‘Dromtorp’ below.

Heading to Bestival? Catch Plastic Mermaids on the Friday edition of the festival, performing at the Matua Wines Stage at 2pm and the Bandstand at 8pm.
