There's a very developed sense of nostalgia in the music of ONR.
A producer raised in various parts of Scotland, there's an often wistful air to his music, matched to a keen sense of what can be accomplished.
Searching out new ideas, fresh visions, he matches indie rock crunch to delirious electronics, throwing in some pop elements for good measure.
A standout at this year's Great Escape, ONR. is currently completing a brisk set of Stateside shows.
New single 'Love In Suburbia' keeps the momentum flowing, upping the energy while adding a slew of new elements in the process.
We've got first play of the video, and it's an entrancing watch. ONR. explains…
'Love In Suburbia' is probably the most energetic track I’ve released so far – in the few times I’ve played it live, it always gets such a big reaction. It’s essentially a love song set both in and about the suburban or small-town upbringing, the comforts and the limitations of that, the safety and the monotony – that’s something very close to me.
