Premiere: Lola Moon – ‘Those Beautiful Boys’

Forthcoming on boutique London label SuperNatural Recordings...

Lola Moon is still only 20 years old, yet hers is a talent rapidly coming into bloom.

Now based in Berlin, the songwriter's darkly seductive twilight pop has a rare intensity.

New cut 'Those Beautiful Boys' is forthcoming on London boutique label SuperNatural Recordings, and it casts a spell from the opening note.

Clash is able to premiere the video, and it seems to invite you into a secretive yet warmly inviting world. Lola Moon tells Clash:

"The song is about the illusionary chase for perfection. May it be for socially constructed ideas of beauty, social status, or your own ambitions that see your imperfections as burdens instead of gifts. The song represents a longing to break out of these constructs. My friend Seffy Hirsh directed the video in a day, where we used special lighting to create the dancing shades on my face. It was inspired by a performance by Romy Schneider and German Expressionism."
