Conceptual pop, that's Lilacs & Champagne.
Real name Emil Amos and Alex Hall, the songwriting pair are currently embarking on a new project titled 'Midnight Features'.
A series of EPs, each finds the duo attempting to place themselves in a different musical era. Inspired by Marvel's 'What If?' series, the first volume 'Shower Scene' is set defiantly in the 70s.
Out on April 7th via Mexican Summer, Clash is able to premiere a new video from Lilas & Champagne.
Utilising old cartoon footage, it expands on the music therein: on the surface quite sweet, there's a menacing undertone to everything the pair attach their name to.
Watch it now.
