Premiere: Keaton Henson - Earnestly Yours

"Bedroom classical" piece gains visuals...
Keaton Henson

A shrewd, powerful songwriter capable of delivering a real emotional punch, Keaton Henson has never shied away from a challenge.

Second album 'Birthdays' was a huge critical success last year, with the English artist recently playing a sold out show as part of James Lavelle's Meltdown festival.

On the same day, though, Keaton Henson recorded a new album. 'Romantic Works' is a collaboration with close friend and Guildhall graduate Ren Ford.

Dubbed "bedroom classical" it matches Henson's emotional touch with Ford's arranging abilities. At times sparse, the delicately wrought material utilises found sound and strange, junk shop instruments.

Escaping the classical pigeonhole, 'Earnestly Yours' has already emerged online. Given the video treatment, the visuals perfectly match Keaton Henson's evocative music.

Check it out now.

Keaton Henson is already at work on a new record, together with a full-length ballet for 'Balletboyz'. Arranging two special performances of Vivaldi's 'Four Seasons', dates are as follows:

October
7 London Oval Space (Keaton Henson presents Cellophony – Vivaldi's Four Seasons)
8 London Oval Space (Keaton Henson presents Cellophony – Vivaldi's Four Seasons)
