Fabienne started at the bottom.
Raised in Bradford, the aspiring singer wrote to Atlantic Records at the age of just 15. Granted an internship at their New York office, Fabienne never looked back - throwing herself into the city's music scene she soaked up music like a sponge.
A chance meeting with soul icon Betty Wright saw the veteran performer take the northern lass under her wing, offering all kinds of advice in the process.
Returning to the UK, Fabienne began the frontwoman for Mayfair hotspot The Arts Club's soul band. Refining her own voice, the singer pieced together hip hop's sample-based aesthetic to a love of vintage R&B.
Debut EP 'City Of Shadows' is out now, with Fabienne shooting a video for the title track. Stylish with just a hint of retro scenes in there, you can watch it right now on Clash.
