Leeds' cult heroes return...
Ellen And The Escapades

Ellen And The Escapades have always had an ambitious streak.

Their songwriting - stark, often folk influenced - comes packaged in lavish arrangements, designed to both benefit and expand upon that initial germ of an idea.

Locking themselves away for the past eight months, Ellen And The Escapades have been attempting to piece together their debut album. Working with producer Tristan Ivemy, Ellen And The Escapades appears to have shifted in a darker direction.

New single 'Lost Cause' drops on Monday (June 2nd) and it matches some lush musicality with a genuine sense of discomfort in the lyrics. The video for the track finds the Leeds band drenched in fading light, performing against a gloomy backdrop.

Nakedly emotional, the beautifully etched twilight of the video seems to match Ellen And The Escapades' Northern noir.

Check it out now.
