Premiere: De Rosa – ‘Spectres’

Scottish cult heroes return...

It's normal for Clash to be objective, to take a step back, when assessing new music.

But not with De Rosa. The band are underground legends, a group whose decade long career – if such a term could be applied – has resulted in all manner of truly special recordings.

New album 'Weem' will be released on January 22nd, with Rock Action stepping in to support the band. Writing sessions took place in a remote area of the Scottish Highlands, before producer Andy Miller helped lay the band's ideas down on tape.

What follows is bound to be special. Clash is able to give fans a sneak preview of 'Weem' by unveiling the video for new track 'Spectres'.

The sparse guitar line has traces of folk, before the traces gains a head of steam and leaps into near Krautrock territories. A gloriously melodic piano line sits underneath vocal, seeming to wring out every possible inch of emotion from the lyric.

A wonderful return, you can tune in below.
