An oft mis-used term, but Broken Bells is a true supergroup.
Matching James Mercer (of The Shins) with Danger Mouse, the duo's debut album was a fantastic display of breathtaking material seemingly written for the sheer hell of it.
Emerging from slumber, Broken Bells will release new album 'After The Disco' on January 13th. A series of vivid short films have been posted online, featuring snippets of new music interspersed with lavish visuals.
Travelling to the UK, the duo recently took part in a special live session for Transmitter. A London based project which utilises the talents of both LoveLive and the BPI, Transmitter has already established a reputation for high quality sessions which showcase the personality of the musicians involved.
This new clip is no exception. 'October' was one of the standouts of Broken Bells' debut album, and is here given a soft, supple and emotive treatment - watch out for James Mercer's vocal, which really pushes the track into a higher realm.
Watch it now.
