Premiere: Boston Bun – ‘Paris Groove’ (ft. Mayer Hawthorne)

Capturing that Parisian spirit...

Paris has been at the forefront of everyone thoughts over the past few weeks.

The terrorist atrocities committed by ISIL stood entirely against the city's egalitarian spirit, the sense of freedom that oozes from every wall.

So when Boston Bun crafted 'Paris Groove' he could hardly have known how affecting the track would turn out to be. Out now on Ed Banger, it's a salute to that uniquely Parisian sense of partying, of waltzing through the night to sounds from around the world.

Clash is able to premiere the accompanying visuals, which star French actor Olivier Barthélémy. Directed by Ollie Wolf, it's a visual salute to one of the most inspiring cities on Earth.

Boston Bun: "When we asked Olivier if he wanted to play a weirdo dating a fake girl in Pigalle he instantaneously said yes. This is why Olivier is one of my favourite actors. He was definitely the most appropriate to embody the Paris Groove and he killed it. It was important to me to make it happen in the freaky side of Paris, far from les Champs Elysées. if you're familiar with Pigalle, you'll recognise some places and faces. Paris has been under pressure lately, and at first I was dubious about releasing the video. I thought it was pointless compared to the importance of what we went through last Friday. I talked a lot with my friends to try and work out what to do. But this is what we are. Weirdos having fun at night. This city made us and we're proud of it!"
