Premiere: Black Rivers Album Trailer

It’s those chaps from Doves, heading somewhere excitingly fresh…

Recognise those faces? It’s pretty likely – add a Jimi Goodwin into the line-up and you’ve got Doves. But the Williams brothers, Jez and Andy, have struck out as a duo, and the material they’re making as Black Rivers is hitting so many of our sweet spots right now.

In the summer came ‘The Ship’, and last month we got a further taste of the Black Rivers sound with ‘Voyager 1’. Now, Clash can premiere the trailer for the pair’s debut album, an eponymous set scheduled for a February 9th release.

There’s clearly a sonic connection to Doves – how can there not be? – but Black Rivers are heading down a more esoteric, electronic tangent, with Krautrock leanings, based on what we’re hearing. Have a listen for yourself; here’s that album trailer:
