Premiere: Bad Wave – ‘3AM’

"Can love overcome the fiercest rivalries?"

Bad Wave found each other through circumstance.

Two friends who wound up living together in Los Angeles, the duo – a songwriter, a producer – fairly naturally fell into the routine of making music together.

The ease of this transition perhaps feeds into the relaxed nature of the music itself – brisk, buoyant electro pop, there's a sense of classicism at work, as if Bad Wave were at ease recalling both Animal Collective and ELO.

New cut '3AM' gleams with pop energy, and it caused a stir online on its 10K sponsored release a few weeks ago.

Clash is able to premiere the video, and it's a quirky salute to love's ability to overcome the boundaries placed in its way.

Bad Wave explain: "Can love overcome the fiercest rivalries? Conquistadors and Mayans? Astronauts and Aliens? Trump and Hilary? Maybe not love, maybe just a dance."

Watch it now.
