Pond – ‘Sitting Up On Our Crane’

Lucid, trippy clip from returning Australian group...

A loose-knit collective of heathens, vagabonds and musicians, Pond’s cult status as psych-outsiders could be about to get a further boost.

The band’s new album ‘Man It Feels Like Space Again’ is an other-worldly delight, born from small town frustration pushing their imagination further and further inwards.

New track ‘Sitting Up On Our Crane’ should be taken literally – when the band were young, they would climb enormous machinery and gaze at the horizon.

Songwriter Jay Watson recalls: "We'd sit at the top and I'd always be afraid that we were gonna fall off, kill ourselves. That's what that song's about. Kind of an anxiety power ballad."

Shot by Alejandro Miguel Justino Crawford, the accompanying visuals are a trippy salute to that adolescent pursuit – watch it now.
