Museum Of Love – Down South

New DFA affiliated project...

What with the departure of Tim Goldsworthy and the dissolution of LCD Soundsystem fans could be forgiven for thinking that the pace of DFA's development had slackened.

However a clutch of new signings and fresh projects emphatically indicate that this is simply not the case. In true DFA tradition, new group Museum Of Love features old friends and familiar faces, working on something that is fresh and more than a little unexpected.

Formed by LCD mainstay Pat Mahoney and Dennis McNany (founder of Run Roc Records) the duo signalled their arrival earlier this year. Debut single 'Down South' contains plenty of typical DFA tropes – Krautrock flourishes, left field electronics – but there's a probing naivety to this which can't be denied.

Out now, the track has just recently received the video treatment. Opening with the camera rushing through the woods, this is a surreal travelogue which is unafraid to be different.

Watch it now.
