Love them or loathe them, Mumford & Sons are now big business.
The band play stadiums, with their fame rocketing around the globe. So when the band put out feelers for guest stars in their new video, they were able to call in favours from some huge names.
Working with actor Sam Jones, the quarter stepped back and let some famous actors take their place. Jason Bateman plays Winston Marshall, while Ed Helms assumes the role of Ben Lovett, elsewhere Saturday Night Live pairing Jason Sudeikis and Will Forte play Marcus Mumford and Ted Dwane, respectively.
Mumford & Sons joked: "We are delighted to present to you our new video for the song 'Hopeless Wanderer'. A massive pair of thumbs-up to Sam Jones for directing and his cast of young budding actors. We’re sure they all have bright futures ahead of them".
Ed Helms seemed to sum up the experience of making the video by saying "we had an absolute blast shooting this video and the final product only confirms what I felt going in - thank god we're a fake band". Before adding: "We're so grateful to be a successful fake band. It's been years of fake dedication and fake hard work to get here, and I really believe we are at the forefront of abject fraudulence.”
Watch it now.
