Monoganon – Wasted Teens

New Fence Records signings...

Scottish collective Fence are unusual in that they are both defined by a place (the East Neuk of Fife) and a certain type of music (weirdy beardy folk strumming).

However the past few years have seen the label move beyond this. The imprint has signed numerous acts from far and wide, while loud guitars and oddball electronics are making a firm dent on their identity.

New signing Monoganon are all the way over in that there Glasgow, yet the four piece have developed a strong bond with Fence. Playing numerous shows for the label, their dreamy psych-folk is matched to intricate, offbeat songwriting reminiscent of alt rock greats such as Pavement.

Signing off time in the studio, second album 'F A M I L Y' will be released this summer. For now, though, Monoganon are content to offer you a picture postcard sent straight from their Glasgow base.

However this ain't any ol' postcard. The band are taking part in a new Fence project, becoming the second entry in the label's Postcard Singles Club. 'Wasted Teens' is a beautifully affecting piece of songcraft, all lush sounds, loops and curves, sighing and laughing.

Coming equipped with a download code, this is the perfect introduction to Monoganon's sleepy world. More information HERE.
