A tender love story...
Show Me The Wonder

Manic Street Preachers could never write a conventional love song. Not really.

There's too much reserve there, too much imagination. New single 'Show Me The Wonder' is a Motown styled stomper, one of the band's most overtly pop moments in some time.

Yet even here there are barbed edges, unexpected moments. Richard Hawley guests on vocals, and it seems that the the Northern troubadour's experience of performing in working men's clubs has rubbed off on the Welsh group.

The video for 'Show Me The Wonder' features the band performing in a grubby 70s style club, with the clip threading together live footage with an unexpected love story.

Playing it straight, the clip is a wry, tender take on young love.

Watch it now.
