Spoken word meets house...

Greco-Roman don't stick to any one plan.

Essentially hinging on three notorious crate diggers, the label are bound by an urge to release good music regardless of genre. Earning a reputation for finding The Next Big Thing, Greco-Roman are also keen to throw out the odd experiment or two.

'Our Town' certainly sits in the latter camp. Production comes courtesy of London duo letthemusicplay whose effortless take on house has a dextrous, flexible funk which ripples through the system.

Kate Tempest, meanwhile, is a fast rising figure on the spoken word scene. Choosing to chart everyday life in all its grit and mundanity, the wordsmith is able to find beauty in the most unremarkable of locations.

On the surface, it's an odd pairing yet on record the match works. 'Our Town' has a shimmering, buoyant quality which is matched to the simple, humane delivery of Kate Tempest.
