Scandinavian sisters, there's a part of Klara and Johanna Sderberg which will forever belong to Nashville.
The duo's harmonies - effortless, gilded, dripping with melancholy - push First Aid Kit in an Americana direction, at times sheer country.
But when it's done well, First Aid Kit capture something true, something genuine. New cut 'Cedar Lane' is online now, and it's as graceful a Kentucky ballad as you'll hear.
The heartache of the lyrics is matched by their soothing voices, rising and falling in support of one another. The duo explain: "It's song about searching for a reason to keep on keeping on, to find the good that comes with the bad. We wanted to create a piece that was dark yet uplifting at the same time."
