Coastal Cities – Entropic

High Wycombe's finest...

The internet is a funny thing.

Coastal Cities were formed almost out of boredom, five friends intent on doing something positive, something creative. Writing music, the band placed their demos online – innocently, at first.

Then the attention came. The Drums uncovered their music, with the American band tweeting to countless thousand followers. Invited to perform in France before they'd even played a London show, Coastal Cities must have wondered what those initial rehearsals had unplugged.

Still extremely young, upcoming single 'Entropic' betrays a seething confidence. Coastal Cities match jagged, post-punk guitars with uplifting electronics, while their big sound betrays an ambition which is often quite rare in young groups.

Mixed by Adrian Bushby – whose previous credits include The Rapture and Two Door Cinema Club – 'Entropic' is a lifting, soaring track which warns… "your dreams are holding you back".

ClashMusic has been handed first play of the video – watch it now.
