Don't take your parents to see 'em...
Cars Can Be Blue

Cars Can Be Blue can dress it up all they like, but it’s hard not to view their forthcoming UK tour as sweet revenge. Five years ago, the Athens garage duo flew over for a tour with Manchester riot grrrls Hotpants Romance, only to be detained by immigration services and eventually deported. Now they’re back, expanded to a three-piece, with a thoroughly barbed album ready to drop in the form of 'Trace The Tension'. It’s payback time.

Whatever you do, don’t take your parents to see 'em. The fan-made video for their thoroughly potty-mouthed ‘Dirty Song’ currently sits at over half a million Youtube hits, thanks to its knowing mixture of Moldy Peaches pop and wilfully gratuitous profanity, and amidst their formidable arsenal of incisive satire, they’re far from above the ol' knob joke. This time, however, they’re louder. Punkier. More pissed off. We’ve got an exclusive look at the first video from the new LP – 'Title Track' may well be an instrumental, but it sears and sizzles like Man Or Astroman? let loose on an arson spree. Watch the clip below, and be sure to catch their fearless live performances this summer.

'Trace The Tension' is released via Happy Happy Birthday To Me on 24th September.

28 Leeds @ Wharf Chambers w/ Tunabunny (Queer We Go Festival)
