Afrobeat infatuated Ivy Leaguers Vampire Weekend have unveiled the new video to their upcoming single 'Cousins'.

Vampire Weekend burst through last year with their sprightly debut album. Self-titled, the record seemed to document year spent honing their skills to Afrobeat records in their dorm room.

Returning early next year with a quick-fire second album, Vampire Weekend have begun to look to Latin and Central America for inspiration. Titled 'Contra' the material retains the effervescent energy of their debut but refines their songcraft in new and startling directions.

One of the most anticipated records of the year, 'Contra' is due to kick start 2010 in a blaze of energy.

Taken from the album, forthcoming single 'Cousins' is a glorious blast of songwriting. Possibly the first indie pop track in some time to make use of the guiro - a rhythmic instrument beloved of Primary School music classes - the video is a 'blink and you'll miss it' series of thrills and spills.

Crookers - No Security

Red hot production duo Crookers could be set to blast into the charts with their new Kelis assisted track 'No Security'.

Rumbling its way out of the dark garage scene, dubstep is a strange beast. Often dark and forbidding, the genre makes its first incursions into the nation's consciousness earlier this year with Skream's take on 'In For The Kill'.

Teaming up with R&B princess Kelis, production duo Crookers could be set to blast the first dubstep track into the charts. Buoyed by some deadly snare cracks, the riddems under-pinning 'No Security' may not be groundbreaking but they do come from a place outside of the mainstream.

With Kelis providing a typically stunning vocal, 'No Security' is one of the hottest dancefloor cuts around right now.

Bob Dylan - Must Be Santa

Legendary songwriter Bob Dylan has unveiled one of his most bizarre videos... well, ever.

Bob Dylan helped to invent the pop video. His iconic clip to 'Subterranean Homesick Blues' is seared into the collective consciousness of film makers everywhere, while subsequent videos have enshrined his image as a performer draped in mystery.

A shroud which is set to be ripped off with his new video. Taken from Bob Dylan's recent festive concept album 'Christmas In The Heart' the new track 'Must Be Santa' is accompanied with a truly bizarre video.

The song itself is a diversion from recent efforts, featuring a jaunty folk rhythm. Meanwhile the video shows a fun Christmas party with Bob Dylan resplendent in a long grey wig and a truly bizarre hat.

Jerry Fuchs Tributes Pour In

Renowned drummer Jerry Fuchs has died, and ClashMusic has found a small tribute to the musician.

New York may be the city that never sleeps, but Jerry Fuchs was the drummer who never rested. As a member of !!! the drummer was responsible for supplying Motorik grooves for the band's demented tribal offerings.

Arguably the lynchpin of the entire group, !!! released only one album together - the stunning lost classic 'Myth Takes'.

Since !!! split Jerry Fuchs became involved with LCD Soundystem, as well as touring with fellow DFA dance punks The Juan MacLean. At a time when producers were digging out their old drum machines it was a surprise to find a drummer who could cope with competition from technology.

Jerry Fuchs tragically died earlier this week, and tributes are flooding in for this much loved musician. Watch a tribute to his skills here...

Mogwai Concert Film Teaser

Scottish post rockers Mogwai are set to be immortalised in a new film - and you can watch a teaser right now!

Mogwai have always had a cinematic element to their music. Almost entirely instrumental, the band's material strives to describe the world without using words and lends itself naturally to cinema.

Having scored the award winning football film 'Zidane' the band now find themselves caught on camera. Forthcoming film 'Burning' captures a typically stunning Mogwai live show, with the band on furious form.

Shot in an extremely intimate style, 'Burning' is due to premiere at the Copenhagen Internal Film Festival next month.

Sparrow And The Workshop Exclusive

Scottish newcomers Sparrow And The Workshop are set to release their new single 'Horses Grin' next week - and you can watch the video on ClashMusic!

Long time favourites in their native Glasgow, Sparrow And The Workshop specialise in dark Americana. Evoking something ancient in their music, the band are nonetheless strikingly modern in their daring arrangements.

Led by Jill O'Sullivan's haunting vocals a series of support slots with British Sea Power last year saw the band exposed to a much wider audience.

New single 'Horses Grin' is due to be released via Distiller Records on November 23rd. A superb track is marks Sparrow And The Workshop out as ones to watch, with a new EP set to follow.

Taken from the forthcoming release 'Into The Wild', the EP is set to hit the shops on November 30th.

Currently gathering their wits to craft their new album Sparrow And The Workshop are the perfect soundtrack to those frozen Autumn mornings.

Euros Childs - Its A Lovely Day Tomorrow

In these days of ever advancing technology the world rarely sleeps, with time flooding past at an ever increasing speed.

Trends come and go in the time it takes to click open a web page, with viral sensations eroding the need for a bit of good, honest hard graft. Which makes it all the more stranger, then, to see Welsh psych-folk hero Euros Childs re-working a song from the 1920s.

Perhaps best known for Vera Lynn's war time version, Euros Childs recently took on the standard 'Its A Lovely Day Tomorrow'. Recording his version in the kitchen using only basic equipment, the result is a stunningly evocative performance.

Through his career with Gorkys Zygotic Mynki onto his solo efforts, Euros Childs is a true original. Doffing his cap to songwriters of a pre rock age, the Welsh songsmith has managed to add something of himself to a song already forgotten before he was even born.

Tyondai Braxton

Battles singer turned solo star Tyondai Braxton has issued a new track by track guide to his latest album.

Battles aren't like any other group on the planet. Sure, plenty try but no one can quite replicate their dizzying blend of rock, free jazz and electronics.

Debut album 'Mirrored' was a surprise success, perhaps due to Battles love of chunky riffs amid their head splitting weirdness. Live, the band are simply incendiary capable of sending crowds of thousands into delirium.

Lead singer Tyondai Braxton is a noted solo artist in his own right. Taking time away from the math rock gods the singer recently released his latest effort, titled 'Central Market'.

An illuminating insight into the singer's influences and his plans for Battles future material, the album stands as a solid artistic statement in its own right.

With a new deluxe edition of 'Central Market' due for release shortly Tyondai Braxton has issued a track by track guide to the album.

Video Premiere - High Places

The clip also has the distinction of being High Places first official video being filmed, edited and directed by the duo, Mary Pearson and Rob Barber, themselves.

'I Was Born' reflects the duo's relocation from their Brooklyn, New York base to Los Angeles at the start of 2009 and sees a new clarity make itself known in their enchanting, challenging music.

Remarkably, it also sees the first appear on record of Mary Pearson's degree level bassoon playing, adding a mellow beauty to the song's first few bars before Pearson's plaintive vocal does it's intoxicating thing.

Dizzee Rascal On UK Hip Hop

Hip hop star Dizzee Rascal has given his thoughts on the new wave of UK rap artists.

Emerging from London's urban music scene, Dizzee Rascal's energy and wit took the charts by storm. His debut album 'Boy In Da Corner' swept away the Mercury judging panel, while a series of singles set the charts alight.

However the rivalries that dominate the UK hip hop scene came to the fore in 2004 when the rapper was stabbed while on holiday in Ayia Napa.

Now pushing his music in a more pop direction, Dizzee Rascal has paid his dues. Recent album 'Tongue N Cheek' is packed with chart toppers, yet beneath the gleaming pop production lurks a hip hop fiend at heart.

In a new video interview Dizzee Rascal speaks about his thoughts on UK hip hop, and the new wave of rappers trying to steal his crown...

Julian Casablancas on the Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien

Taking Woodstock

'Taking Woodstock' is the new film from Ang Lee, director of films such as 'Brokeback Mountain', ' Hulk' and 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon', depicting the staging of the famous Woodstock Festival, the epicentre of the hippy movement, in 1969.

Based on the biography of Elliot Tiber, 'Taking Woodstock: A True Story of a Riot, a Concert, and a Life', the film sees the battle to stage the festival after the residents of Woodstock turn against the idea. Watch the trailer, and red carpet interviews with Ang Lee amongst others, above.

Florence And The Machine - You've Got The Love

Brit award winners Florence And The Machine are set to release their cover of 'You've Got The Love' - and you can see the video now!

'You've Got The Love' is one of the best known tracks of the rave era. With its roots in the primordial sludge of house the song has rocked dancefloors across three decades and in the careful hands of Florence And The Machine it shows no signs of stopping.

Originally a house track named 'Your Love' its author Frankie Knuckles introduced the sleek sounds of Italo Disco to the nightclubs of Chicago. Blending disco, soul and electro the track lit a fire that still blazes.

Later, genuine soul diva Candi Staton gave the song a lung bursting overhaul resulting in 'You've Got The Love'. A global hit, Florence Welch has been using the song as a live favourite for some time.

Now shrinking violet herself, Florence And The Machine's lung bursting take on the house classic demonstrates what a vocal talent she is. Capping a tremendous year for the singer the track is due to be released on November 16th.

ClashMusic recently caught up with American songwriter Micah P Hinson for an exclusive rendition of 'Kiss Me Mother'.

Growing up in various states across the deep South, Micah P Hinson was surrounded by music. Turning his back on the country music that dominated the airwaves the young singer was drawn to alt rock groups such as Sonic Youth and Dinosaur Jr.

Leaving home he found things tough, at one point ending up homeless. Dragging himself out of the gutter Micah P Hinson vowed to make something of his music.

Becoming a cult sensation the singer released 'Micah P Hinson And The Gospel Of Progress' in 2004. Since then, he has rarely looked back touring all over the world and recording countless great tracks.

Returning with his new collection 'All Dressed Up And Smelling Of Strangers' the singer recently sat down to record an exclusive cover for ClashMusic. Singing 'Kiss Me Mother' it is easy to see Micah P Hinson's astonishing charisma, and of course his unique voice.

It's been a big year for Little Boots.

After years of trying to make her way in the music industry, Victoria Hesketh finally had enough. Locking herself away in her room Little Boots emerged with a series of catchy as hell electro pop anthems.

Aimed squarely at the dancefloor debut album 'Hands' has become rich fodder for remixers. Spawning number hit singles Little Boots has become hard to avoid with her songs resonating throughout the summer months.
