My degree in English Language & Linguistics has opened up a lot of exciting opportunities such as ringing people up all day in the hope they'll buy stuff over the phone. Spending almost 100% of my lifetime living in the same place and spending any money I've ever earned on CDs and rent on a massive shared flat in the middle of town means I know enough people to DJ and promote a local Alt-Dance and Rock night at the Remix nightclub called ROGUE. I took guitar lessons for a year when I was 15 and that seems to give me licence to write and record weird obtrusive music in my room under the name Mighty Sandy Heath Transmitters. I used to make electronic music in a band called Autofire and were once supported live by 65DaysOfStatic even though most people only showed up to see them and left when we went onstage. My dream job would be to be a highly paid music pundit. Since there is no such thing as that job, I instead write album reviews for Clash ;-) One day I hope to sell enough fire risk assessments to let me learn to drive, buy a new laptop, go travelling, do a course or maybe just not go over my overdraft every month.
