Fancy a mouth-wateringly limited bit of merch from the most feted label in indie history?

Clash have pulled strings, scratched backs and proffered sexual favours (as ever) in order to get our mitts on one of only 501 super-stylish Hacienda-logo T-shirt/art print/Flip Frame combos in existence.

If you haven’t come across the Flip Frame phenomenon before, it’s well worth a trip over to artvinyl.com for a taster. A simple but brilliant concept for the vinyl junkie, it’s an adjustable frame that holds and displays any album or 12” you want to impress your guests with.

This limited edition version has been produced in collaboration with New Order bassist and ex-Hac co-owner Peter Hook and features a T-shirt bearing the classic Hac ‘Use Hearing Protection’ logo, along with a sought-after factory catalogue number, Fac 51. The shirt is wrapped around an art print of the same design which allows you to still display the logo while wearing the shirt, which is handy.

Do remember to give it a wash before re-framing it though. No one wants their dirty linen aired in public.

To launch the event, Art Vinyl’s Birmingham gallery will be decked out Hac-style from the 13th of September as it stages an exhibition of Hook-related paraphernalia. Expect an eye-pleasing array of items from Joy Division, New Order and the Hacienda archives.
