Shit-kicking good time

Many bands leave the SXSW festival in Autin, Texas, thinking they’ve given a pretty good account of themselves in the face of the industry. San Francisco-based The Dodos, however, can probably leave with their heads held higher than most. Virtually every list of ‘best band at the festival’ awards compiled by people from all over the world had them up in their top choices. The Houston Press summed them up nicely saying their show is a “shit-kicking good time”. This came after one of the world’s most awesome live bands, Les Savy Fav, announced back in February that The Dodos may well be the best support they’ve ever had on a tour. Not bad so far eh?
