The Strypes have announced a full UK tour, with tickets set to go on sale later this week.
Sharp suited lads with bowl-cuts, strumming their guitars and blasting their harmonicas. Sound like your kind of thing? Well, The Strypes will no doubt get right up your alley.
Mastering that wearing-sunglasses-at-night rock star schtick, the band's live shows are a blur of energy and R&B riffs. Teenage Bo Diddley prodigies, a recent performance on Later… With Jools Holland introduced them to a national audience.
Now the Irish band are back for more. Announcing a six date UK tour, the shows open in Bristol on June 20th, before hitting London for two performances. Taking control of the Islington O2 Academy, The Strypes will play a pair of sets – one of which will only be open to under 18s.
Ending in Cardiff on August 22nd, pre-sale tickets for the tour go on sale tomorrow (May 1st) at 9am. Full sale opens this Friday (May 3rd) at 9am.
The Strypes are set to play the following shows:
June
20 Bristol Fleece
21 London Islington O2 Academy
July
10 Stoke Sugarmill
11 Preston 53 Degrees
25 Oxford O2 Academy
August
22 Cardiff Globe
