The Kinks Announce 60th Anniversary Collection ‘The Journey’

It's out on March 24th...

The Kinks will release ‘The Journey – Part 1’ on March 24th.

The UK legends toast their 60th anniversary this year, and to celebrate they’ve laid out plans for a new two part career-defining anthology. From those early power chord smash hits through to their bucolic view of England and beyond, The Kinks’ katalogue remains a source of inspiration for pretty much anyone writing guitar-based pop in 2023.

Out on March 24th, ‘The Journey – Part 1’ boasts some of their biggest hits, and opens a two-year celebration of the band’s legacy. Ray Davies muses: “Ask yourself the question, is this journey really necessary?…….Yes!”

Dave Davies continues, “I’m delighted with what I think is an inspiring selection of timeless and magical Kinks music.”

It’s a golden compilation, too – available on 2CD, 2LP, digitally, and HD Digital Worldwide, it features the likes of ‘You Really Got Me’, ‘Waterloo Sunset’, ‘All Day And All Of The Night’, ‘Celluloid Heroes’, ‘Supersonic Rocket Ship’, ‘Dead End Street’ and ’Death Of A Clown’.
