Say Lou Lou Are Reignited On New Single ‘Wong Kar-wai’

They're back...

Say Lou Lou have released new single ‘Wong Kar-wai’.

It’s been a hot minute since the duo’s last studio album – almost six years in fact. A smattering of singles last year saw the Swedish-Australian sisters emerge from the shadows, with new release ‘Wong Kar-wai’ fully re-asserting their identity.

Out now, it’s a daring return, a salute to the titular director. Indeed, this is only appropriate – the past few years have been the duo, Elektra and Miranda Kilbey, embark on acting projects, as well as modelling.

They couldn’t cut those ties, however, and the nagging instinct to create brought ‘Wong Kar-wai’ into being. “Distance makes the heart grow fonder – of each other and music!” the twins reflected recent.

Say Lou Lou say of the single: “Wishing you were somewhere else, not here, anywhere – that love was like a film, a dream, anything but this tired, sad reality. Wong Kar-wai is a director who manages to reflect longing and mystery, a master of composition and capturing how chance encounters can be the fate that you needed.”

Infusing an air of mystery with their own pop appeal, there’s a touch of the cinematic to the new release. Painting pictures with words and sound, Say Lou Lou are directing a blockbuster of their own devising.

Tune in now.
