Moby Acoustic London Show

Special one off date announced

American songwriter Moby has confirmed details of an unusual new show in London.

Moby came of age in the techno clubs of New York, DJing throughout the city and beyond. Making his name with a series of vital cuts, the producer hit paydirt with the dance meets roots music success of ‘Play’.

Now in a new move the electronic star is set to play a show in London – completely unplugged. Moby is fresh from his new album ‘Wait For Me’, which was itself a diversion from recent releases.

Stripping things back Moby recorded the album in his bathroom. Which, considering the size of his bathroom, is probably less impressive than making an album in the ClashMusic toilet which has considerably worse acoustics.

Released to warm acclaim the album delighted fans by returning to his earlier sound. Playing a series of tour dates the producer is currently in Mexico, where he has completed a number of huge shows.

Now the producer has agreed to return to the UK for a very special one off show. Moby will play an unplugged set, drawing on tracks from ‘Wait For Me’ and beyond.

Taking place in the historic Palace Theatre in London. Better known these days for staging musicals the lavish surroundings will suit Moby’s music, with the producer unveiling a special stripped down line up.

Moby will be joined by guest vocalists such as Joy Malcolm and Kelli Scarr, with a number of special extras to be unveiled on the night. Moby will play the following tour date:

November
15 London Palace Theatre
