Lostprophets Cancel Port Talbot Show

Venue damaged in fire

Welsh rock wizards Lostprophets have been forced to cancel their upcoming show in Port Talbot due to the venue suffering fire damage.

Lostprophets have grown to become one of the country’s biggest rock acts. Transcending their punk origins the band’s anthemic post-hardcore sound has seem them release several hugely successful albums.

Returning earlier this year with their new album ‘The Betrayed’ Lostprophets stormed into the Top Ten. The band entered the UK charts at number three, above such critically acclaimed groups as Vampire Weekend and Mumford & Sons.

The band celebrated the achievement with a show in their former school. Lostprophets returned to Pontypridd for a memorable set in front of some of their old teachers.

Set to open a full scale UK tour on February 4th Lostprophets have made a number of last minute changes to their schedule. The band’s show in Port Talbot has been cancelled due to fire damage.

Set to take place at Afan Lido the show has been moved due to the venue being devastated by a fire in December. The gig will now take place in Cardiff’s International Arena on May 1st, with refunds available for fans.

Opening on February 4th in Leicester the tour is set to travel across the country. Lostprophets will finish the tour with the re-scheduled date in Cardiff’s International Arena on May 1st.
