Goat Announce New Album ‘Medicine’

It's out on October 13th...

Swedish psych juggernauts Goat will release new album ‘Medicine’ on October 13th.

The band seemed to fade from view following the release of 2016’s ‘Requiem’, before shocking fans with a return last year. ‘Oh Death’ opened a fresh chapter, with Goat going on to soundtrack the TV adaptation of Ben Myers’ excellent novel The Gallows Pole.

Now there’s a full album on the horizon. ‘Medicine’ will be released through Rocket Recordings on October 13th, eight tracks of transgressive behaviour from the reclusive Swedish group.

The track titles point to a search for meaning amid the lysergic experience – ‘Tripping In The Graveyard’ et al – while the lyrics are also said to deal with “impermanence of life in different ways: sickness, relationships, love, death and how our time is finite”.

“For our families, friends, society, this could be done through the use of psychedelics, through meditation, through learning from other people, staying curious and never settling for a ‘solid’ identity,” the mysterious Goatboy adds.

New track ‘Unemployment Office’ is online now, and it’s a restrained return, the undulating layers of synthetic sound conjoined with Goat’s thirst for melody.

Oliver Lewis shot the video – tune in now.
