Girl Talk Album News

"Feed The Animals" Physical Release

US DJ (with possible attention deficit disorder) Girl Talk is set to for the physical release of his second album – “Feed The Animals” – in early October, it has been announced.

Pittsburgh producer Greg Gillis has become one of the most controversial DJs in the world due to his frantic mix tape efforts, incorporating beat splicing, sample hopping efforts that skirt the edges of copyright law. First album “Night Ripper” used 164 artists in its 64 minutes, and “Feed The Animals” is set to break that record.

Greg Gillis aka Girl Talk found wide acclaim for his first effort “Night Ripper”, so much so that he has packed in his day job as a biomedical engineer to concentrate full time on his (well, other people’s) music. Live, Girl Talk shows often turn into chaotic scene as Gillis’ kneels before his laptop prizing all kinds of weird and wonderful sounds from it.

“Feeds The Animals” had its digital release earlier this year, and in an unusual move fans were allowed to pay whatever they wanted for it. Mixing 164 artists in just over 40 minutes the album is a tour de force of mixing, featuring the great and not so great alongside each other.

Girl Talk’s “Feed The Animals” has its physical release in early October.
